The art of lying: to yourself

Thoughts can be deceiving. That is why, people are so big about the power of mind. It can make you change moods in just a second. Have a different thought crossing you every second, and your mood can swing from tree to tree. Fail to hide these mood swings ever so often, and you will be branded crazy. But that will be another story altogether.
It is a wonder how we keep seeing things in different perspectives, at different times. If we have this one positive thought, and we will see something positively. But if we see it in a negative light, we will never see the good side of something. Even though we are looking at it the same physically but the difference goes to how your judgment is. And judgments, rely on facts that your mind allow yourself to approve or disapprove.
For example, one morning we wake up and find 28 missed calls on our cell phone, from the same person. Different people will react differently.
1. Oh my God, I hope nothing bad happened. (Worried)
2. Oh how sweet, this person must really miss me. (Flattered/Happy)
3. Why is this person keep bothering me. (Angry)
4. This person is definitely a stalker. (Scared)
But it is possible for one person to go through all of the feelings above, one after another. If the person’s thoughts change from 1-4, despite of any order, feelings would have changed.
So it is not at all funny that at one time you feel happy because someone has done a good deed, then as time goes you become suspicious, and then angry. And it is not impossible for you to change your feelings back to being happy. You just have to deceive yourself into thinking that the deed was indeed sincere.
White lies, every now and then, might just help.

[…] deep within you. You’ll believe with the words coming out of your mouth. It’s an affirmation. You are not going to tell lies to yourself right? The stronger you believe in it, the easier it will be. It’s like the world revolve around you […]
